After many years of social tension due to the various climatic and health crises, governments had to face the rise of a determined ecological movement accusing the Capitalist system of being responsible for the situation, endangering the future of the planet and humankind alike.

The “Green riots” led many countries to civil war and chaos.

 

About twenty years will be needed for society to reorganize and find a relative balance between two opposed worlds that still coexist. One advocates for progress and economic growth in large, highly secured modern cities. The other favors decay and return to a life more in harmony with nature.

 

The governments agreed to accommodate more environmentally friendly economic policies and made health a top priority. They enforced the "Seed" biotechnological chip implantation as mandatory for all human beings. The "Seed", created by the DARWIN Biogenetic company, allows for real-time individual health monitoring. It detects the slightest abnormal biological symptom and thus prevents many diseases and potential epidemics.

 

Since her early childhood, Beck is living on an island, away from the fractured world. Now a teenager, she was raised and trained by Wade, a martial arts Master.

One day, Wade does not return from a supply expedition on the continent.  Beck then realizes how much he had hidden from her during all these years. She goes in search of him, resolute to face the world she was always kept apart from.

As a social misfit, she finds her marks in the only field that she masters. She takes part in organized fights, a sport that became very popular over the years.  She indeed proves particularly gifted. .
